Laura Crewdson is a Speech Pathologist based in Ultimo, NSW. You’ll find her at the University of Technology Sydney, 15 Broadway, Ultimo NSW 2007. She works with children, teens, and adults who need support with how they speak and how they use language day to day.
Speech can be tricky for lots of reasons, and sometimes it changes over time. Laura helps people when sounds aren’t coming out clearly, when speaking feels effortful, or when fluency is affected. In many cases, it’s not just about “sounding right” either. It can be about communication confidence, easier conversations, and making sure messages land the way the person intends.
Her sessions include speech therapy that’s practical and focused on real life. She also offers language assessment, which can help make sense of what’s going on and what kind of support would suit best. If someone is having trouble with understanding or using language, an assessment can be a helpful first step.
Laura provides articulation therapy to support clearer speech sounds. She also looks at fluency therapy for people who may experience stutter-like patterns, where the flow of speech can be disrupted. Sessions are usually shaped around the person’s needs, what they find hardest, and what goals matter to them.
Over time, speech and language support can make a big difference, especially when it’s done in a calm, steady way. Laura keeps things grounded and works through the skills that help someone communicate more easily, whether that’s at home, at school, or at work.
If you’re not sure what kind of help you need, that’s common. Starting with a language assessment or talking through your main concern can help point the next steps in the right direction. Laura’s role is to offer clear, hands-on speech pathology support and help people build skills they can use in everyday life.
